DFB Sweeps the Board
Blaina’s Dylan Fowler-Bishop become the first Celtic Micra Challenge Champion Driver after a successful season not without its spills. (See MDMC Club Page). After overcoming a non-finish on the Plains Rally, he and Co-driver Dan Evans emerged victorious with a string of Class Victories which also saw the crew win the coveted BTRDA Bronze Star Award. Dylan had a very lucrative evening with his winnings from the Godspeed Brakes Club Championship and the Celtic Micra and TCS Challenges netting him a total of £530 prize money.

People Who Made the Idea a Reality
Club Member Justin Fowler-Bishop approached Maesteg and District Motor Club Committee members with the aim of encouraging youngsters, those on a limited budget, and those with their cars in ‘mothballs’ back to the sport. Sharing the TCS Plant Rally Challenge Calendar was the logical way forward. With the network of companies able to keep Nissan Micra’s in competition, the car was the obvious choice. It took no time at all to gain the support of the following companies to which we are extremely grateful.
Humphris Rallysport is an Oxford based company specialising in the supply and manufacture of Nissan Micra competition parts. Matthew was approached and was delighted to give his backing to the idea. www.humphrisrallysport.co.uk
We have gained the enthusiastic support of Steve and Alan Brown of Questmead Ltd. The company are suppliers of standard and competition parts including safety items and lubricants. www.questmead.co.uk
Our Honory Member Ron Morgan is a familiar face on the rallying scene, competing on both sides of the car. He offers his support through his company Restruct Restruct Repair Services
We also welcome Ynyscynon M.O.T Centre whose proprietor Kristian Green is also heavily involved in our sport with sons Kalvin and Kyle regularly competing. The brothers, both drivers have signed up for our Challenges.
JFB Msport can draw upon years of experience in Rally Car preparation and on event support with Micra’s the company run, enjoying a large amount of Championship success and Class victories. Justin also carries out road going car maintenance plus the servicing of generators and compressors email: jfbmsport@gmail.com
Rally Challenge main sponsor TCS Plant are Swansea based and specialise in Groundworks and Civil Engineering projects. Proprietor Phil Turner and grandson Thomas Cooper are successful and familiar faces on the Welsh Rallying scene.
